Al-Azhar School aims to build the foundations of Islam in our youth, encouraging them to live according to the teachings of Islam as documented through the Quran and life of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him). We aim to give our students a holistic education in preparation for daily living, with particular focus on working with one another, correct manners and behaviour, and building confidence and self-esteem.
We accept students from any background, with any ability. Students will initially have a short and informal assessment to help determine the class best suited for
them.
Depending on parental preference, students have the opportunity to study:
Arabic Language – including writing, reading, speaking, and listening, with support towards completing an Arabic GCSE.
Islamic Studies – including fiqh, ikhlaq and ahadith.
Quran – including correct recitation, tajweed, and tafsir.
